Talking Loud, trading as Joyofgoodcoffee, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect and why

Name, email, shipping and billing address and phone number, to process and deliver your order. Legal basis: performance of a contract.

Payment details, to take payment. These are handled by our payment provider; we do not store card data. Legal basis: performance of a contract.

Order history and invoices, to meet our legal accounting obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Your email address for our newsletter, to send updates about new coffees and order windows. Legal basis: consent.

Device and browsing data via cookies, to run the shop and measure how the site is used. Legal basis: consent for non-essential cookies, legitimate interest for essential ones.

Who we share it with

We only share your data with parties who help us run the shop: Shopify, our webshop platform and hosting. Our payment providers, to process your payment. PostNL, to deliver your order. Our roasting partners receive order volumes only, no personal data.

We never sell your data. If a processor is based outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

Order and invoice data: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.

Account data: until you ask us to delete it.

Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.

Cookie data: see the lifetimes set in our cookie banner.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
